2. Limoges Carnival, Esplanade Champ-du-Juillet, March 3, 2013

12. Fecircte de la Chataigne (Chestnut Festival), Mourjou, October

Mourjou (Cantal) is a village with a large population, 360 at last count, but every October it welcomes around 20,000 visitors for its Chestnut Festival. Participate in eating and drinking plenty of chestnuts and cider. In fact, the standard is 5000 liters of cider and 2 tons of chestnuts.

The fair started in 1990 when some young residents decided it was time to revive the chestnuts, which had undergone considerable decline since the modernization of agriculture.
